Spanish radio was a vision of Luis Orozco, Radio Sol’s founder and General Manager.  In 1999 he broadcasted his first Spanish radio program from the basement of his home.  This 2-hour program was named Radio Sol and it was the first, Central Ohio, all Spanish radio.

Orozco’s 2-hour show was so well received, by audiences and local businesses, that Radio Sol soon grew to a 4-hour program and then a 6-hour program. In 2004, Radio Sol, went on the air as the first Central Ohio 24-hour Spanish language radio station.

The overwhelming and positive response from our audiences indicates to us that the community trusts Radio Sol to deliver honest, diverse, and quality entertainment.
